New compliant installations are designed and undertaken, Inspections and remedial work carried out on existing installations if non compliant. We ensure that all installations adhere to the latest  SANS 10087-1 Regulations.

REGULATIONS

When planning your installation, take note of the following regulations:

Gas bottles must be:

More than 1 metre sideways from all doors and windows;

More than 2 metres from all drains and all air vents;

More than 3 metres below windows (unless a non-combustible roof is installed);

More than 3 metres from your property boundary wall - unless it is a fire wall

More than 5 metres sideways away from all  motors, electrical points and or switches

More than 1.5 metres from a light point, above a gas bottle.

Other installation rules:

Only class 1 or 2 copper pipes, or other approved gas piping (not plumber's pipe), may be used.

Copper pipes going through a wall must be sleeved properly

Approved flexible gas hose may not be more than two meters long and may not go through any partition (including wood, dry wall, cupboard partitions etc);
